Hi, I’m Amelia McKenzie, the founder of Vanilla Lane Cases. I started this business when I was just fourteen years old. I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of creating something of my own, and business was something I naturally gravitated toward from a young age. One afternoon on the way home from athletics training, the idea for Vanilla Lane came to me. I remember sitting in the car imagining the designs and the name of my Business. As soon as I got home, I started bringing the idea to life and slowly everything began to grow from there. On the 11th of June 2023, Vanilla Lane officially launched and what began as a small dream on the way home from Athletics training quickly became something I could never imagine. I built a small Etsy store of a few cases and started and everything changed when I posted my first TikTok video. Overnight it reached 100,000 views and 10,000 likes, and only a few days later another video reached 330,000 views and 45,000 likes. Less than a month after launching, one of my videos passed 2 million views and 300,000 likes. Sales started rolling in and the support from the Vanilla Lane community grew in the most unexpected and exciting way. Since then I have spent countless hours designing, learning, stressing, emailing, talking to customers and building a community that I feel genuinely grateful for. Now, two years later, Vanilla Lane has grown internationally and continues to reach people all over the world. I am incredibly proud of how far it has come and excited for everything that is still ahead.
